Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #97: Going in Both Directions

It is difficult to say which has been more interesting to watch, the left being worked into a frenzy on a daily basis or the right is broken into the apoplectic and the cheering groups. In all cases, there are steps being taken… sometimes in a reverse course and other times dead ahead. Join us for the recording session if you can. If you can't, listen to us on one of the many distribution channels available.

Episode 340: No Need for Fiction

I think this was one of the more peaceable episodes. We managed to get through more articles than we usually do and there was a lot of ground covered.

Articles for Episode 340: No Need for Fiction

Over the past week I've found a number of parody or satire articles that made their way to Facebook and/or Twitter as if they were true stories. In this episode we're going to look at articles that outline why we don't need our blood pressure raised by those parodies, real news is bad enough!

Something interesting, in last week's episode we has a number of visitors in Second Life that meant to bring more disruption than discussion. Unfortunately they partially succeeded, as they brought the sim down. In doing so, however, they failed to recognize that their presence increased the traffic to the site, the podcast and the sim. Our numbers have hit new highs and this week I was notified that our Twitter feed was added to the "Top Political Brains" list at Ticckle.com which apparently is an opinion conversation site.

These extra articles are also sources of ire for a variety of reasons.  There's more after the break...
