Front Porch Political Talk Episode 68: Confusing Compassion

I think the subject of this episode might have been lost somewhere along the way but that doesn't mean that we didn't have a great discussion and share some insightful points. We did manage to get through the truly important articles with only a few tangents.

While we didn't specifically express it in the recording, our prayers go out to the families of those involved in the shooting in Orlando.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #68: Confusing Compassion

While it can be honestly said that most Americans have a healthy amount of compassion for their fellow human being, the ways that it is expressed can be confusing to others. In this episode we look at some examples of this. Articles for this episode:

Late getting this show posted to the website but it was a fun one to make. I think it's safe to say we were in something of rare form on this topic.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #50: Does The System Work?

This may seem like a rather blunt question, but does the "system" still work? By that I refer to the bureaucracy, policies and implementation of documents that we use in America. In this episode we're going to look at a number of articles where people look at this question in different ways.

I know there was a lot of sense in what was discussed, I'm not sure it would be considered "sensitive" for most. It was a good discussion though!

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #38: Sense and Sensitivity

There are times when we have to be considerate about the sensitivities of those around us, whether it be food or environment or otherwise.  In this episode we look at some cases where doing this may or may not be the best idea.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 37: Neither Now Nor Later

Well, this was an interesting show and didn't go exactly the way we planned.  Conversations that include Common Core can sometimes be tense and this one did not fail in that regard.  We also spent a lot of time talking about the Oregon shooting, the victims and the Constitutional challenges with either preventing or detecting activities.  It's not a light conversation by any means but one that must be had.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #37: Neither Now Nor Later

Another busy news week that brings a lot of conversation topics to the table. In this episode we are looking at the concept of how the past as defined by leaders of the present defines the future. Things may appear on the surface to be all over the place but by the end of the show we'll have a cohesive conversation that makes sense.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 28: Foot, Meet Mouth

I think we managed to have a great conversation without suffering from the ailment that was the subject of the show.  We actually managed to get through the majority of the articles on our list, including a quick blurb about Windows 10 notices that folks need to keep in mind before upgrading.

Most people have heard of the dreaded condition known as 'Foot-in-Mouth'. Many of us have suffered from it at some point in time. In this episode we are looking at a number of articles where that may turn out to be the result.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 13: Getting the Story Straight

This was a good episode from a content perspective but I found audio "glitches" on the production side. In fact it was so bad that this episode did not make it to Red State Talk Radio. All that said I felt the conversation was cohesive enough and the message important enough to release it to podcast subscribers.

Articles for Episode 299: Mind Your Own House Part 2

There's the phrase, "Mind Your Own House," which is typically uttered to someone that is too busy calling out the failings of another while their own situation isn't much better. We seem to be in that state in the US now. We are continuing the conversation around Mark Levin's proposed Liberty Amendments and some news stories that fit in neatly with his suggestions.
