Front Porch Political Talk Episode 75: Making the Right Decision

This episode takes us into some interesting territory, looking at both the current campaigns and some concepts that might be applied to voting. There are also two comparisons in the show notes, one for the candidates and one for the parties. Take some time and read through the comparisons to make your own decisions.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 67: All-Access Discomfort

If I could describe this episode in one word, it would have to be insightful. We were joined this week by my good friend David Oatney who shared some interesting insights into the process and repercussions of the primary process. It was also what I would call a "full-spectrum" process that included both good and bad viewpoints on the world as it is today.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #67: All-Access Discomfort

It seems like the standard operating plan for most political types is to make sure that at least some of their electorate is uncomfortable about something. In this episode we are looking at a few examples of that and the impact it may have in November. Articles for this episode:
A couple of selacious extra articles this week.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 26: No Place For It

A good recording with this episode, definitely worth the listen!  One of the best feats I think we managed to accomplish during the recording was to talk about the protests in South Carolina as an event without muddying the waters on the "right or wrong" of either side.  I mentioned during the podcast our affiliation with Red State Talk Radio but misspoke on the domain, the correct link for Red State Talk Radio is http://www.redstatetalkradio.com.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #26: No Place For It

The events of the past week have been interesting to say the least! In this episode we're going to look at some things that don't really mesh with the mindsets of the "average" American, whether they have a right to or not.

Episode 262: Lemmings or Thelma and Louise?

It's funny what happens when you plan out an episode like this one.  I wasn't sure what the call-in volume was going to be like and it turned out to be pretty big!  My co-worker Marshall joined us (he's the one that stated that, "know I know how Juan Willaims feels.") as well as just about the entire regular crew!  The show started off somber but when we started the political talk it turned into something else entirely!

One thing I failed to mention was our sponsor, Audible.com.  You can get a free 30 day trial as well as a free audiobook by going to http://www.audibletrial.com/eastcoastconservative and signing up.  The recommended book for this week is The Tyranny of Cliches: How Liberals Cheat in the War of Ideas by  Jonah Goldberg.

Articles for Episode 262: Lemmings or Thelma and Louise?

It's the end of 2012 and it looks like our pals inside the beltway are all auditioning for the role of Enigmatic Good/Bad Guy. It appears that the nation is going rumble past that dreaded deadline for sequestration. We're going to try and figure out if it's because the folks in DC are more like Thelma and Louise or lemmings.

Here are the articles for the podcast:
And of course there's other stuff to read!
