Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #93: Setting the Narrative

We are on the verge of a political change that can be called unprecedented from many different angles. The political party in power is flipping, the attitude of the incoming President is completely different and nobody in media or office knows how to deal with any of it. We're going to be looking at a number of articles that point this out from various angles. Join us for the recording session if you can. If you can't, listen to us on one of the many distribution channels available. Articles for this episode:

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #88: Unrealistic Expectations

The voting is done and the polls are closed, Americans have voiced their choices and the results have had some interesting impacts. In this episode we're going to look at a number of articles touching on the election, Veteran's Day, civics and more.

There are also some other big things going on. This is going to be the last scheduled podcast for this month due to scheduling conflicts all around. The Facebook page is going to see more activity but the weekly show is taking a break until the first Sunday in December. Additionally, we're changing venues in SecondLife effective tonight. I'll be taking the next two weeks to get things sorted out. Articles for this episode:

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 84: Not About Politics

It was pretty clear from the news we discussed that the campaigns have nothing to do with the political issues facing the electorate. This was a good discussion with a number of points raised.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #84: Not About Politics

I've come to the conclusion that while the results of the election will be pivotal in many ways, the campaigns themselves have nothing at all to do with politics. What we are seeing is a devolved narrative bent on personalities and prejudices. The articles for this epsidoe point this out in more ways than one. Articles for this episode:

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #78: Some Hero

People have a habit of turning elected officials and media figures into some kind of modern-day heroes for their specific causes. In this episode we're going to look at statements and actions of a few of these people and see how this concept bears out in today's society.

We are excited to announce that the Front Porch Political Talk show is now on a new network, Lanterns Buzzz. Starting this week we will be joining a great group of folks. Be sure to check them out!
