Episode 349: Some People Need Help

In contrast to last week's episode, this one hit on all cylinders and we were able to have a good, solid discussion about the various connotations to "needing help." These ranged from the "bless their heart" concept to legislative action to areas that truly do need a considered level of assistance.

We even started to talk about an article that was in the "extra reading" list (sorry about that, I couldn't continue on the nudist camp conversation) and brought up a local primary election for me that had me picking based on some very limited information.

Articles for Episode 349: Some People Need Help

There are different connotations of the phrase, "need help." In this episode we're going to explore a few of those. We've got articles looking at outrageous statements, strange mandates and areas where assistance is truly needed. Keeping with the changes there's no "fun" opening article, things are too important this week and the absurd can sometimes get in the way.

Episode 160: Forward and Back

It's a new year but that doesn't mean the politics has changed much! Sure, there is going to be a Republican majority in the House but that does not mean things aren't still getting pushed by Reid and Obama. With a nod to the past year, we look forward at new stories and situations.

It took some time to get this episode online and I thank everyone for their patience! We are in the process of looking at new mixing solutions since I had to load a different operating system on my machine. Need to find a VoIP (SIP) friendly mixer for Linux at this point.

Episode 137: Unmentionables

We've asked, "why would they say that," before and in tonight's episode have even more unmentionables. No, we're not going to give a page by page of the Victoria's Secret catalog, we've got history, swearing, judges, signs, unemployment, ordination, animals and the pleasure police!

We will be streaming out of the Sagamore sim from a spot provided by the GOP of SL. Links, landmarks and SLURLs will be posted one the particulates are worked out.

EPISODE 24: Mike Wilson Plays Bully with Florida's Flying Votes

Had a bit of a hiccup at the start of the show and had to re-start the recording. Sorry to anyone that was streaming for the original recording and hope you were able to join us for the actual show. Keeping the theme of the light-hearted start, we had to talk about the Florida senate's attempt to fine people that like to decorate their trucks with nuts (bull's, that is). Along the same lines but not at all, the discussion went to an article about a republican trying to get Playboy and Penthouse out of military exchanges (stores). A Detroit professor got his son a bottle of lemonade and then lost his son to CPS for 6 days because it was Mike's Hard Lemonade... something the dad had never heard of. The informal poll in our chat room showed that everyone knew what it was in our audience. Something that Floridians are finding hard to swallow is the fact that their delegates still don't count. A group went to DNC headquarters to protest. We were joined by Tom Millican and Adam Graham to discuss this issue. Finally, for our local issues, Ken talked about the kidnapping of a 26 year old and his family's reward offer. Hatton talked about the debacle that has erupted in his sleepy little village. We thank everyone for listening! If you like the show, please tell your friends. If you want to join in on the show, watch our home page for the recording schedule (traditionally every Sunday night at 8:30pm EST). You can become a part of the show! Talkshoe provides for live-chat as well as the ability for people to call in. Our number is 724-444-7444 and the talk-cast ID is 75570, we'd love to have you on the show! Episode 1

Welcome to the East Coast Conservative Podcast! Ken and I thank you for visiting and listening.

This episode is our first podcast. We decided to start off with a brief introduction and then took off with the first item... the Buffalo Casino situation, presented by me (Hatton).

After that Ken picked up an issue that is very close to his heart with the problems faced by the Florida Department of Child Services.

Finally we touch on our thoughts on the Virginia Tech shootings and the acts of the Lemmings (that would be a new word for the mainstream meeting) in general.

While we're at it, we played promos for two really great podcasts:
