Episode 261: Coal for Christmas

Something of an odd Christmas present, but the show's recorded and ready for download several hours early!  There was a scheduling conflict so Ken and I decided that rather than push the recording off we'd do the show at 2pm today.

We talked about the folks that should and should not get a lump of coal for Christmas this year.  I'll be posting a picture of my new voter registration card as well, following up on a promise made a few episodes back.

Articles for Episode 261: Coal for Christmas

This episode is being recorded earlier in the day (2:00pm Eastern) due to a scheduling conflict this evening.

What can I say? There are some folks that just deserve coal in their stockings. We're going to be talking about them, and some that don't deserve it as well. We didn't want to talk about just the gun issue, but it is on the list today.

Here are the articles:
And yup, there's more to discuss as well. Here are the stories that didn't make the list.

Episdode 248: Trying to Stay Positive

As I said in the show notes article, we started the show off trying to stay positive... and for the most part we managed to succeed!  There were a few times that I had to remind Ken (and myself) of our goal but according to feedback from folks during the recording session we did a "fairly passable" job.  What do you think?

Episode 209: Understanding and Concessions

In this episode we actually talked about the concept of concessions and compromise!  We also had some follow-up articles that had to be included and a disturbing story from Montana about what is and is not considered journalism.

EPISODE 33a: East Coast Conservative Podcast Comment

Time for something new as a part of the East Coast Conservative Podcast! There are a lot of different things that come up every week that don't make it to our show. Sometimes this is because they get overshadowed by "hotter" news issues and sometimes they make the list but have to be dropped in the interest of time. Introducing the ECC Podcast Comment - short recordings made by myself or Ken on different issues. These aren't scheduled calls and are not recorded on TalkShoe, so the only way to comment is via email (conservativepodcast@gmail.com) or by adding a comment here. In the first comment - giving, and how conservatives/capitalists and liberals/socialists look at helping others differently. It's a matter of control, people. I was inspired by a definition I heard on the Dave Ramsey show. Also, I used the example of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and the episode with Daniel Gilyeat, a marine and single father of 4.
