I think this was one of our more complete episodes. We didn't hit all of the articles but we did cover all the ground that I had hoped to given the source material available. Please send your comments and join us if you have the time!

It is important for people to take responsibility for their actions and hopefully be proud of them. In this episode we are looking at articles where this should be the case. It isn't always but that's what we get to discuss along the way.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 39: It's All in the Presentation

This episode was much more sedate than a few in the past, probably because of the weather and the day more than the topic. We definitely hit the target with the topic though and would love to hear listener comments on anything you think we missed!

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #39: It's All in the Presentation

Sometimes it's not in what you say but how you say it. In this episode the articles are centered around not just the substance of what is being said but also the structure. We'll see how that impacts with reality.

I know there was a lot of sense in what was discussed, I'm not sure it would be considered "sensitive" for most. It was a good discussion though!

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #38: Sense and Sensitivity

There are times when we have to be considerate about the sensitivities of those around us, whether it be food or environment or otherwise.  In this episode we look at some cases where doing this may or may not be the best idea.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 37: Neither Now Nor Later

Well, this was an interesting show and didn't go exactly the way we planned.  Conversations that include Common Core can sometimes be tense and this one did not fail in that regard.  We also spent a lot of time talking about the Oregon shooting, the victims and the Constitutional challenges with either preventing or detecting activities.  It's not a light conversation by any means but one that must be had.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #37: Neither Now Nor Later

Another busy news week that brings a lot of conversation topics to the table. In this episode we are looking at the concept of how the past as defined by leaders of the present defines the future. Things may appear on the surface to be all over the place but by the end of the show we'll have a cohesive conversation that makes sense.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 36: Finding the Proper Response

I think we did well coming up with accurate and adequate responses to the articles that we had on the list. This included pointing out the fact that some of them were not the right things to say.
