Episode 155: Pushing More Buttons

Tonight marks the beginning of our third year in the podcast! We celebrate by recording the show late and praying that everything comes together... which is how things started in the first place. Rather than ponder the past, we're looking at some current issues that are pushing more buttons with the general public.

This is a busy travel time for most of America. Unfortunately, it's also a busy quarter for work. You need a tool that will help you conduct business even when you’re not face-to-face with clients or colleagues, and Go To Meeting by Citrix is that tool!  Host unlimited meetings from anywhere, share your desktop or collaborate on a document all from your PC.  Try it free for 45 days by going to GoToMeeting.com and using the promo code PODCAST.

There is one slight logistical correction to what was said in the show. I invited folks to come back and join us for the first show in our third year. I'll blame it on being tired or just not paying attention - it will be the first episode in our fourth year!

Episode 154: Is Anybody Listening?

Sometimes I look at the news and ask myself this question - is anyone truly listening to what the news folks are saying? We have an ethics conviction, a terror acquittal, waivers, pat-downs and outright admissions of failure and all people can focus on is the royal engagement!

Episode 152: Eating Their Words

It's the weekend after the midterm elections and, as predicted and promised, the Republicans took back power in a huge way! This has left quite a few elected officials eating their own words. There is also a rather prevalent misconsception about what the elections actually meant that is being spread by the media at an alarming rate.

We had a great turnout in SecondLife and there was a lot to talk about. This is not the beginning of the end, nor is it the end of the beginning - it is the new day. We talked about a number of opportunities and possibilities and even managed to call shenanigans!

Episode 151a: Election Night coverage

We waited until 9pm Eastern for the polls in New York to close before we started, but once we did it was a fun time with special guests Adam Graham of the Truth & Hope Report and Kirk and "Shamrock" Jim of The Zoo Radio Show.  Clocking in at 2 1/2 hours, this episode included results, analysis and robo-calls!  Special closing music was "When You're Holding a Hammer" thanks to Adam for pointing it out to me and courtesy of the folks at http://holdingahammer.com/.
