Episode 83: In Who's Name?

Tonight we're going to be talking about religion and politics - two things that affect most of us. The theme of the show for the evening is, "Who's name are these people talking in?" We're going to focus on some good and some not so good things that have come out in the news recently. The show turned out to be as fun as promised! We had a good turnout in both TalkShoe and SecondLife and managed to get through almost all of the articles selected. One of the more interesting discussions, which I would like to see more of and get comments on, is the one of where the Republican party needs to go to win in 2010! During the show I talked about the community at RepublicanOperative.com! We now have a discussion forum there and you can access it by going to http://www.republicanoperative.com/forums/ecc-podcast-episodes/. Also, our facebook page is up and running and of course we have our store at Printfection.com/eccstuff. Items discussed in this episode:

Episode 82: What were we saying about foreign policy?

In this episode of the podcast, Ken and I reflect on the warnings given to the Obama administration and show examples of how their refusal to at least acknowledge those warnings is now coming back to bite them in the rear end! When it comes to foreign policy, the liberal concept that "everyone will love us if we don't flex our muscles" has resulted in creating more harm than good for the US abroad. Last weekend I talked about the community at RepublicanOperative.com! This morning I got word that a message area specific to our podcast has been created! You can access it by going to http://www.republicanoperative.com/forums/ecc-podcast-episodes/. Also, our facebook page is up and running and of course we have our store at Printfection.com/eccstuff. Articles discussed during the show:

Episode 81: So Much to Talk About

So much to talk about and so little time, that was the theme of tonight's show. We decided to break the show into three sub-sections becasue articles from all of them needed some discussion. As I mentioned in the intro, everyone really should check out RepublicanOperative.com! They are a wonderful message board and the place where we are working to add a message board for episode discussions. Also, our facebook page is up and running and of course we have our store at Printfection.com/eccstuff. For this week only (Jun 14-Jun 21) you can save on items at the store! Episode 80: Obama Needs a Better Speech Writer

In this episode we were supposed to discuss Obama's recent speeches and the self-contradictions and historical mistakes he's made. We're also going to extend the show to proclamations and statements made by Obama's representatives in the administration. That's where we started - and a lot of what we did talk about. However, there were some other areas that had to be talked about as well! There were some great comments and a few interesting side-topics that may have to be explored later. Here's what we talked about (at least a few of the articles)
As much as we wanted to talk about these, time just wasn't there for it

Feedback is always welcome! If you like the show, blog about us and tell three friends. If you didn't, come back next week where you will hear different words in a different order.

State of the Podcast

Hey folks, wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on where the show is now and were we are planning to go moving forward. Here's a short summary of the items to touch on:
  1. You will start hearing more about sponsors.
  2. We've launched a line of products to buy. New products are being added to the ECC Stuff Store
  3. We're on Facebook! Check us out at http://www.facebook.com/pages/East-Coast-Conservative-Podcast/87646007134 (working on figuring out how to shorten that.
If you're interested, click the "more" link! Some time back you heard a spot about the Blockbuster subscription sponsorship. We've added another sponsor to the list... GoDaddy! I'm not going to post the info here, you'll have to get the codes for discounts on domain names, hosting and other services by listening to the podcast! There are some really good savings to be had there though... domains for $7.49 and 10% off hosting and services. We have added a new store to sell shirts and other products. Powered by PrintFection.com, you can find the "ECC Stuff" store at http://www.printfection.com/eccstuff. Right now there is only the one design but I'm working on adding more all the time. Let us know what you think! We've added a Facebook page as well! Both Ken and I have been on Facebook as individuals for some time but now the show has it's own page, Click Here to check it out! We're going to try using that for discussion threads about episodes and other things. I'm also working on a voice comment system powered by Google Voice - you can see the "Call Me" button under the Talkshoe widget. There are some issues with it right now but we should have it working soon. Calls are sent straight to VoiceMail and we will have the option of incorporating calls in with our recordings if they are appropriate! Have suggestions on what you want me to try out on the site? Let me know! Comments can be emailed to conservativepodcast@gmail.com. Thanks for listening!

Episode 79: A Dog's Tale of Foreign and Domestic Policies

We had a lot to discuss on tonight's show - from the heroic deeds of a little dog to the misguided actions of the party that doesn't want to offend any one. We were joined by quite a few folks in both SecondLife and TalkShoe that made the show great! Be sure to listen for the information about our new sponsor! There are money saving codes for GoDaddy.com in the podcast. Also, stay tuned as we're going to be launching a product line soon. Items discussed in tonight's show:
