Episode 78: Memorial Day

Sorry for being SO late in posting this, folks (almost a week) but I have been trying (and trying and trying) to get the audio on this episode cleaned up. Needless to say, I have not been too successful. Ken and I have tried a number of different ways to clean up the audio for the podcast. Due to the nature of TalkShoe, the sound quality is going to be phone-line at best. On this episode Ken and I wanted to talk mainly about Memorial Day - what it is and what it isn't. I read "On Flander's Field" and shared snippets from letters that I have from a grandfather many great's back who fought with a Texas regiment in the Civil War. We also talked about Obama's speech about Gitmo and Hubble! Links to things discussed:

Organizational groups & Activities ("What we can do")
If you have an organization you want to see listed here please email us at conservativepodcast@gmail.com. Also, a word about the audio for tonight's show - I'm in the process of recovering from a cold that has settled in my chest and is causing havoc with my voice and breathing.

Episode 76: Keeping Family Values

A good show tonight with only a bit of a warning - we talked about social issues not fiscal ones. Today is Mother's Day and the articles we have are mostly related to family matters. We've got good news and bad regarding same-sex (and now other) partnerships, prayer, personal expression and even abortion. Full show nows and links will be posted at http://www.eastcoastconservative.com Something not mentioned in the articles is an update on the situation of former Buffalo cold case Detective Dennis Delano. You can read more about his situation here. Articles for tonight's show:
